The Lagos State Government has mandated that all primary and secondary schools, encompassing nursery, primary, and secondary levels, within the state, will begin the 2023/2024 academic session on Monday, September 4, 2023.

The Director General of the Office of Education Quality Assurance, Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, conveyed during a press conference in Alausa that this resumption aligns with the 2023/2024 Harmonised Academic School Calendar sanctioned by the Lagos State Ministry of Basic Education.

Seriki-Ayeni emphasized the importance of all schools and their proprietors adhering strictly to the specified resumption date, with the aim of upholding the provision of high-quality and enduring education across Lagos State.

She further mentioned that parents, school management, and the public at large can access the consolidated school calendar through the agency’s official website.

Additionally, she urged school owners and administrators to meticulously adhere to the Lagos State Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy in their preparations for the resumption.

The Director General emphasized the vital need for complete adherence to safety protocols within school premises, ensuring a secure learning environment. She reiterated the state government’s unwavering dedication to providing top-notch education.
