1. Kingdom Monera: The Prokaryotic Foundation
Monerans are the simplest living things. They lack a true nucleus (Prokaryotic).
- Key Organisms: Bacteria and Blue-green algae (Cyanobacteria).
- Characteristics: Unicellular, microscopic, reproduce mainly by binary fission.
