TASUED Suspends Lecturer Wanted by ICPC for Misconduct

One of the lecturers at Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), who was declared wanted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), has been suspended by the university’s management.

Dr. Olaniran Balogun, the Head of the Department of Religious Studies at TASUED, has been accused by the ICPC of abusing his office and soliciting gratification. The ICPC had placed him on a “wanted list” as a result of the allegations.

In a statement released on Sunday, August 28, the Deputy Registrar of Media and Corporate Relations, Gbenga Omilola, announced that the lecturer has been suspended from his duties at TASUED. The statement further revealed that Dr. Balogun has been placed on interdiction pending the clearance of all allegations of misconduct brought against him by the ICPC.
