The post which showed the two corps members holding hands and looking affectionate towards each other had generated a lot of buzz on social media, with many speculating that they were in a relationship.
However, in a statement released by the male corps member, he explained that the female corps member was simply a friend and that the pictures were taken out of context. He also accused her of seeking clout and using him to gain social media attention. He further urged the public to desist from making unfounded assumptions and spreading false information about their relationship.
