JAMB Releases Approved Cut-off Marks for 2023 Admissions

JAMB Announces 2023/2024 Admissions Cut-off Marks After Policy Meeting

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) officially announced the cut-off marks for the 2023/2024 admissions. These cut-off marks were determined as part of the decisions reached during the 2023 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.

The meeting took place at the National Judicial Institute in Abuja, where various stakeholders gathered to discuss and finalize the guidelines for the upcoming admissions process.

According to the latest announcement, the minimum cut-off mark for universities has been set at 140, while both polytechnics and colleges of education have a minimum cut-off mark of 100. It is important to note that these scores serve as benchmarks, and individual institutions have the discretion to set their own specific cut-off marks.

However, no institution is permitted to admit any candidate who falls below the prescribed benchmark set by JAMB. This decision aims to maintain a certain standard of academic performance for admissions while allowing institutions some flexibility in their selection processes.
