JAMB UTME Subject Combination for Education 2025
Candidates aspiring to study any course under the Faculty of Education are required to select three (3) subjects from the following options: Literature in English, History, French, Geography/Physics, Economics, or Mathematics, along with the compulsory English Language.
Special Considerations include:
- FED-KASHERE requires any three of Literature in English, History, French, Geography, Physics, Economics, or Mathematics.
- FED-OYE EKITI requires Economics, Mathematics, and one other Social Science/Arts subject.
Additional special considerations exist for other institutions.
O’Level Requirements for Education UTME Candidates (2026)
Candidates are required to have five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and Economics. Alternatively, five (5) TC II merit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, are also acceptable for UTME candidates.
Special Considerations:
- FED-OYE EKITI requires five (5) SSC credit passes in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
- EKSU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at one (1) sitting as their special consideration.
Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates (2026)
As a direct entry candidate, you are required to have two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in any of the following subjects: Literature in English, History, Christian Religious Studies/Islamic Studies, Hausa, Yoruba, or Igbo, along with an ‘O’ Level pass in Mathematics. Additionally, NCE merit in the subjects listed above is accepted.
Special Considerations:
- EKSU requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics and Economics. They also accept NCE credit/merit in relevant subjects.
- PHC does not offer Direct Entry (DE) admission.
