JAMB UTME Subject Combination for Administration 2026
In selecting subjects to write in the UTME subject combination for Administration, note that English Language is Compulsory as also mandatory for all disciplines. Therefore, the three other subject combination needed to make up the standard four UTME subject combinations are as follows;
- Economics
- Mathematics
- Any one (1) of Government and Geography
Special Considerations on the Subject Combinations for Administration
While selecting a subject combination for Administration, there following are the factors to consider depending on the institution you are applying to be admitted;
- UNIMAID requires Mathematics, any of Principles of Accounting/Commerce/Economics and any other Social Science subject
- DELSU requires Mathematics, Economics and any other Social Science subject
- AAUA requires Mathematics, Economics and one other subject
- UNIPORT requires Mathematics, Economics and any other subject from Government/History, Geography, Commerce, Literature in English, CRK/IRK, Accounting (Financial/Business), Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics
- RSU accepts Mathematics, Economics and any other subject
- ESUT, UNN, OOU – Mathematics, Economics, plus any Social Science subject
- EVANGEL requires Mathematics, Economics and any other subject

O’Level Requirements for UTME Candidates Aspiring to Study Administration
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Administration; English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any other subject. Depending on the course you are going for under the faculty, you might have to select Accounting, Principles of Accounts, Commerce, or Office Practice.
Special Considerations on O’Level Requirements for Administration
Several institutions consider the following as factors to meet the O’level requirements;
- UNN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include: English Language, Mathematics and any other relevant subjects. For NBC the other two (2) relevant subjects could be from any of the following: Accounting, Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice and Economics
- UNIUYO, UNIZIK, ESUT, EKSU, IMSU and UNILAG require ‘O’ Level credit passes in Economics and two (2) other subjects
- EKSU requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Economics plus other Social Science subjects
- IMSU and BIU accept credit/merit in English Language in TC II
- UNIPORT requires Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) subjects from Government/History, Geography, Commerce, Literature in English, CRK/IRK, Accounting (Financial/Business), Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics
- UNILAG requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two (2) of Government, Geography, Commerce, Financial Accounting, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Business Management and Book Keeping
- EBSU – Same as in Accounting
- AAUA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and one Social Science Subject and any other Subject
Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates 2026
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Administration, if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require; two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Accounting, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Geography and Statistics.
Special Considerations for Direct Entry Candidates 2026
Quite some degree awarding institutions also have considerations for its candidates applying for admission through Direct Entry;
- ESUT accepts ND in Management, Marketing, Accounting and Finance. It also accepts ND in relevant programmes within the Faculty into 200 level in addition to the UTME requirements
- EVANGEL requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and any of Science, Social Science or Management subjects plus ‘O’ Level requirements
- ABU accepts; two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Accounting or Economics and any one (1) other subject
- NCE with passes at Merit level in relevant subjects
- ND at Credit level
- AAUA accepts HND lower credit in Banking and Finance
- ND at Credit levels in relevant disciplines
- ABSU accept ND in Banking/Finance with a minimum of ‘B’ overall average
- EBSU accepts ACIB, ND, NCE or HND passed at merit level in relevant programmes in addition to the ‘O’ Level requirements
- EKSU accepts ND upper credit in relevant programmes
